Earlier this year, he was announced as the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’s (IFPI) best-selling global recording artist of 2017 after the release of his record-breaking, third studio album ÷ (pronounced ‘divide’). The LP has now sold over 15 million copies across the globe. Divide or ÷ spawned the hit singles Shape of You – the third biggest-selling single of all time in the UK and most-streamed track of Spotify, ever – Castle on the Hill, Galway Girl, and Perfect.

A songwriter of a generation, he was also awarded an MBE for his services to music and charity. Additionally, Sheeran took home two prestigious Ivor Novello Awards for ‘Songwriter of the Year’ and ‘Most Performed Work’ for Shape of You. To date, he has won five Brit Awards, four Ivor Novellos, four Grammy awards, and six Billboard Music Awards.

Tickets for the Cape Town show go on sale at Computicket on 28 June 2018, while tickets for the Johannesburg show go on sale on 29 June 2018.
