New programme manager and lineup changes for OFM

Tim Zunckel, breakfast show host on Radio 2000 and owner of the Tim Zunckel Radio Consultancy has been appointed new programme manager at OFM from 1 July 2008. He will be replacing Shana Kilbee, who will be relocating to England.
New programme manager and lineup changes for OFM

Zunckel says that he is delighted to be associated with OFM - “as they have continually proved themselves to be in touch with the needs of their listeners and the next few years are vital for the radio industry in confirming and redefining its role as broadcasters. I am thrilled that I will be part of the OFM team in this process. It is truly a privilege to be associated with the station, and I am looking forward to adding value to both the listeners and clients of the station.”

The departure of two key presenters, Divan de la Guerre and Angie Khumalo necessitated a bit of line-up shuffle. The line-up changes will not be a permanent arrangement, but should allow Zunckel time to settle in before he makes any decisions regarding the future line-up of the station.

The following shifts will be effective from Monday, 30 June until Sunday, 31 August 2008:

  • Mardi Delport will take over from Angie Khumalo on the weekday Sunset Strip from 18:00 - 21:00.
  • James Kilbourn will do the Weekend Wake Up from 05:00 - 09:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Bernie Naudé will do the Weekend Wind Down on Sundays between 17:00 and 21:00.
  • Lindsay Batteson, co-host of the Sound Xpress, will continue with the show on weekdays from 21:00 - 24:00 on her own.
