Creative Circle judges to select winning entry into the 2004 Street Pole Ads industry award

Entries into the 2004 Street Pole Ads Award, received from 28 agencies from all over South Africa - will be judged by members of the Creative Circle on the 7th of December, with the winning creative team to be announced on Friday the 10th.

"The standard of creative and level of accurate execution of this year's entries is extremely high - these entries are campaigns that work well within the medium", says Sue Holmes - client service director for GAS Advertising, the agency that conceptualised and implemented the campaign on behalf of their client, Street Pole Ads.

According to Sue, the primary campaign objective is to raise and maintain awareness of clever and appropriate application of creative to Street Pole Ads as an outdoor medium. The Award rewards excellence in the innovative utilisation of clear and simple repetitive messaging to achieve communication objectives - these will be the decisive factors in selecting this year's winner.

A major development which aids in positioning the Award as reputable and coveted within the industry, is a judging panel that comprises five members of the Creative Circle. They are Gerry Human - joint executive creative director, Ogilvy, Julien Watt - executive creative director, Network BBDO; Rajesh Ranshod - creative director, Saatchi & Saatchi; Eoin Walsh - creative director, King James; Pepe Marais - creative director, Joe Public

The total prize value on offer exceeds R 200,000.00, the sought after grand prize being an all expenses paid trip for two people to attend the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in 2005. The client whose creative has been entered by the winning creative team will receive a Street Pole Ads advertising campaign to the value of R100, 000.00, and one of the top twenty creative finalists will be drawn to win a Vespa valued at over R 50,000.00.
