Hospitality investment trends uncovered

The first of its kind Hospitality Investment Conference for Africa (HICA) is scheduled to take place between 30 September to 2 October 2007 in Cape Town and will expose delegates to investment trends and leading criteria in the African tourism and hospitality industries. The conference will be used as a platform to share world trends in an effort to align the continent to international best practice.

According to Jacqueline Obando, strategic project manager at the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA), the organisers of the event, delegates at the conference will also have an opportunity to gain insight and information on real estate investment funds, private equity and hotel investments funds.
She added that it would highlight the importance of Africa as a growing and potential investment destination in the world and also improve on the continents' tourism portfolio, as tourism growth in Africa was not a business proposition anymore, but seen by governments as a vital tool to stimulate general development and economic growth on the continent. “This conference will, without doubt further stimulate investment in the continent's hotel, hospitality and leisure industry.”
The conference will be hosted in association with Golding Hotel Investment Consultants (GHIC), part of the Pam Golding Property Group.
