NEWSWATCH: While on Friday, 17 August 2007, the Sunday Times agreed out of court to return Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang's medical records except for one copy to be under joint control, reports News24.com, and not to write further about them according to IOL, the newspaper yesterday, Sunday 19 August, ran a special report that alleged that Manto is an alcoholic and convicted thief. The minister's spokesperson Sibani Mngadi has since described this media report as “false, speculative and bizarre” (Mail & Guardian Online).
