Skellums on the silver screen

December 2009 will see the release of South African movie producer Andre Scholtz's fourth candid camera movie, Rainbow Skellums.

In this film, Andre and his experienced team travel throughout South Africa to catch a few "victims," who are caught off guard become the actors in the film,

TV cameras were installed in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Heidelberg, Ventersdorp, Strand, Cape Town, Eersterivier and Gordon's Bay while the three ‘skellums', Kevin Ehrenreich, Alexa Strachan and Louw Venter tried to catch their victims. The majority of the gags are Andre's, but he also used some of Kevin's ideas and a few ideas he and Leon Schuster never filmed.

"The movie tries to include current dilemmas, like bribery, corruption and security, in the different themes," says Scholtz.
