Former Reserve Bank governor Tito Mboweni has been appointed chairman of packaging group Nampak with effect from 1 June 2010, Nampak announced on Tuesday, 2 February 2010. Nampak also announced that its non-executive chairman, Trevor Evans, had decided to step down as chairman and director of the company on 31 May.
