AFP makes numerous international appointments
Agence France-Presse (AFP) has appointed Marc Braibant as deputy global news director. Braibant replaces Christophe Schmidt, who is taking over as political editor.
Katell Abiven has been appointed as Havana's bureau chief, Sarah Benhaida as Baghdad's bureau chief, Emma Charlton as head of the agency's English desk in Washington, Lucie Godeau as Jakarta's bureau chief, and Daniel Kemp as The Hague's bureau chief.
Furthermore, the agency has appointed Michael Mainville as Moscow's bureau chief, Françoise Michel as Brussels' bureau chief, Denis Rousseau as San José's bureau chief, Eric Thomas as Montreal's bureau chief, and Chantal Valery as Athens' bureau chief.
