Edge and CourseBook appoints Laura Wier as CEO

Laura Wier has been appointed CEO designate of Edge and CourseBook, starting on 1 December 2024, and will take over as CEO after a six-month transition period working with the current CEO Dr Andrew Hibling.

She will lead daily operations, drive strategic execution, and integrate innovation and AI, while Hibling transitions to executive chairman, focusing on long-term vision and investor relations.

Wier brings extensive experience in digital transformation, business analysis, and enterprise architecture, previously heading automation solutions at DVT. Her appointment marks a pivotal step in Edge’s growth as it evolves from a publisher to a global edtech company, with CourseBook as its flagship solution.
