EDGE is the first magazine of its kind, compiled by high-school students for high-school students.
Matthew Glazer, a Grade 12 pupil from St. John's College, is the Editor and brainchild behind EDGE. The articles, photographs and editorial are compiled by dedicated teams of students from the top schools in Johannesburg. EDGE invites contributions from all scholars interested in having their say and getting their articles or photographs published. Their connection with their readers is reflected in the relevance of the content and the enthusiasm with which the magazine is being embraced by the market.
Unlike other youth titles that claim to understand what the youth market wants, ‘talking to them in their own language about issues they relate to', EDGE's entire content, from articles to photographs to editorial direction, is provided by the readers' peers, reflecting the market's attitudes and belief systems.
