Admin Clerk - Medical - Creditors/Junior Bookkeeper

Seeking an administrative clerk - creditors/junior bookkeeper for a private psychiatric clinic based in Berea, Durban to start immediately.

Duties include the following, but not limited to:
  • To accurately capture supplier invoices in the accounting systems to effect valid, complete and timeous creditor payments.
  • Ensure invoices processed are appropriately authorized in terms of the company’s delegation of authority policy and are supported by the appropriate PO’s and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are allocated correctly in terms of the IFRS and SARS valid tax invoice requirements.
  • Prepare creditor reconciliations between the supplier ledger, supplier statement and supplier invoices on a weekly and monthly basis before each payment run.
  • Prepare and submit remittance advices to suppliers after each payment run.
  • Ensure completeness and administration of all supplier invoices and payment batches.
  • Ensure all supplier balances on the creditors analysis are complete and are within the approved payment terms.
  • Ensure expense accruals raised are valid accurate and complete.
  • Manage open purchase orders.
  • Cashbook transaction.
  • Stock control – reconciliation and checking of transactions (when applicable), medication controls, consumables controls, weekly reporting.
Minimum requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in this type of role and environment
  • Proficiency in computer software - MS Office, document management, and database software, Strong Excel skills
  • Accounting package software (Sage, Pastel or similar)
  • Proficiency in using all types of office equipment
  • Strong networking and communication skills
  • The ability to interact productively with superiors and peers
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Time and Deadline management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Salary: R22,000 to R25,000 CTC, per month.

Working hours are from 07h00 am until 16h00 pm, Monday to Friday.
