Creative Video Intern (Paid)

Job description

Location: Cape Town (remote with occasional meetups)

We’re looking for a creative video intern with solid production fundamentals who wants to build experience working in a professional studio environment.

This role focuses on creating video content for our internal marketing and creative projects.

Some projects will be experimental and creative. Others will involve consistent production work.

This role could suit someone who has recently finished film school, studied motion design, animation, or video production, or someone who has developed their skills through personal projects, freelancing, or online learning.
What you’ll be working on
Projects may include:

• Editing podcasts and talking-head content
• Turning static posts or written ideas into short videos
• Creating motion graphics and simple animations
• Producing how-to videos and educational content
• Breaking down and analysing great video ads
• Experimenting with AI video tools and workflows

Some work will be creative concept development. Some will be hands-on production and editing.

Core skills we’re looking for

You should already have some basic ability in areas such as:

• Video editing (Premiere or similar)
• Motion graphics / basic animation
• AI-assisted video tools
• Editing live-action footage or podcasts

We’re not expecting mastery — but you should already have a foundation in video production.

• A mindset of constant experimentation, especially with AI

Tools and resources

You’ll get access to:

We produce campaigns for well-known US and European technology companies, so this internship can become a pathway into real commercial work.

Application Process

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short creative test assignment.

• You will be given a video advertisement to analyse, and asked to produce a short video explaining why the ad works.

• You can use any tools you like — editing, motion graphics, AI tools, voiceover, screen recordings, or other creative formats.

• This helps us understand your creative thinking, storytelling ability, and production skills.
