Graphic Designer

The successful candidate will be responsible for graphic design and social media content creation at a local television station. You will work with executive staff, social media producers and TV programme producers to design logos, marketing material, web pages and social media posts. 

Your duties will include:

• Bringing the brief and concept to life
• Working and collaborating with programme producers and social media content producers to design graphics and social media posts
• Adhering to in-house brand identity and guidelines
• Work on multiple briefs at the same time
• Design and update sales materials such as the rate card with monthly figures
• Shoot photos and videos

• A keen sense of design aesthetics
• Be creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualise original ideas
• Have a strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design aesthetic
• Good communication skills with team
• Be a skilled user of design software (incl. Canva, Photoshop)
• Have an active interest in art/design and passionate about the work you deliver
• Experience in photography and/or videography
• Experience in working with video editing software

Requirements
• Situated in Cape Town
• Availability Mon-Fri: 09:00 – 17:00
• 3-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
• Ability to work independently and with a team to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent organisational skill and multitasking ability
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop and CapCut
• Knowledge on PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• An interest in AI content generation or HTML/web design frontend will be an advantage.
