Copywriter

Key purpose of the role

The incumbent will be responsible for conceptualising and scripting creative content and promos for Primedia Broadcasting platforms, including stations and digital platforms. They will write, develop and manage script elements across all Primedia Broadcasting platforms.

Conceptualisation, development and business partnering

• Conceptualise, write and produce all live, recorded, digital, station imaging, brand positioning and pitch creative scripts ensuring delivery of high-end, innovative concepts and scripts on time, according to brief
• Work closely with sound engineers in the studios to deliver promos and commercials
• Collaborate with online producers in the production of web content
• Collaborate with videographers and designers for visual content, including social platforms

Minimum required qualification:

• Matric
• Copywriting degree or diploma preferable
• Formal and informal training to support the skills required

Minimum years of experience:

• Over five years copywriting experience necessary
• Traditional media or ad agency experience preferable
• Film environment experience desirable
• Fluency in social media advantageous

Additional role requirements:

• Some travel
• Valid drivers licence
