Al Engineers (Gen AI)

As an AI Engineer you'll design, implement, and deploy advanced machine learning models and algorithms that solve real-world business challenges. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions are seamlessly integrated and impactful.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions for complex business problems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and data teams to integrate AI capabilities into scalable applications.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code in Python.
• Design and implement data models within SAP Datasphere and build Python-based data transformations.
• Create data integration solutions to connect external sources to SAP Datasphere using Python scripts and APIs.
• Leverage AWS Lambda for developing, deploying, and managing serverless applications.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Software engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong foundation in software development, mathematics, and analytical problem-solving.
• Proven experience developing AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Solid understanding of SQL with experience writing complex queries for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 and their real-world applications.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) into Python

• Python: Deep understanding of language fundamentals; familiarity with frameworks/libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Data modeling: Experience designing data models in SAP Datasphere.
• loud and serverless: Proficient with AWS Lambda and serverless architecture.
• APIs and integration: Strong background in building integrations using REST APIs and scripting.

The reference number for this position is NG60445 which is a permanent Hybrid position based in Johannesburg offering a cost to company of R700k up to R800k per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
