Junior to Middle-Weight DTP Operator/Graphic Designer

Our client, an established and fast-paced print company on the West Rand, is looking for an exceptionally talented and versatile Graphic Designer / DTP Operator to join their creative team.

We're searching for someone who’s not only highly skilled in design and layout, but also thrives under pressure, works well both independently and within a team, and has a down-to-earth, get-things-done attitude. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, image editing, layout, and production for both digital and print-ready work
  

• Develop visual assets such as brochures, flyers, leaflets, information booklets, and mock-ups
  

• Assist with branding, CI, and applying style guides
  

• Design for social media platforms
  

• Retouch and manipulate images where required
  

• Manage the full prepress process, including output to various digital and press formats
  

• Work with print production equipment and software (training provided)
  

• Collaborate with team members and respond well to feedback
  

Requirements:

• Diploma in Graphic Design
  

• Minimum 1 year of experience in print-focused design
  

• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat
  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint a plus)
  

• Strong visual design and layout abilities
  

• Excellent grammar and copy-checking abilities
  

• Confident working with image retouching, layout composition, and large-format outputs
  

• Advantageous:
  

  • Experience with Wix or basic web design
    

  • Familiarity with Kodak Prinergy, Preps, Epson StylusPro 7900, HP Indigo, Versaworks, or Screen CTP Systems
    

  • Understanding of output procedures for both digital and litho formats
