    Job description

    Position overview:
    The Assistant Marketing Coordinator – Consumer Electronics is responsible for all social media strategies, retailer product listings and weekly/monthly newsletters.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Execute digital and in-store marketing campaigns (social media, email, website).
    • Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X).
    • Monitor all messages/comments on all social media platforms and respond within 3 hours.
    • Manage product imagery (organise shoots, retouching, naming).
    • Compile and submit new product listings to all major chain stores:
      – Pick n Pay, Makro/Game, Takealot, Amazon, Incredible Connection, Clicks, Woolworths, Spar, Outdoor Warehouse, Computer Mania etc.
    • Complete new-line forms, upload images, specs, barcodes, pricing via vendor portals.
    • Compile and distribute weekly/monthly trade newsletters to retailers and sales reps including:
      – Latest stock-on-hand (SOH) reports
      – Updated price lists and promotional pricing
      – New product launches, discontinued lines, bundle deals
      – Key marketing assets and campaign updates
    • Track listing approvals and follow up with buyers and internal teams.
    • Maintain marketing calendar, asset library, and master price/SOH files.
    • Assist with trade promotions, POS materials, and occasional events.
    • Assist the Consumer Electronics team with any other ad-hoc duties.

    Recruitment Criteria:

    The ideal candidate will have:
    • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications or similar.
    • 1–3 years’ marketing or trade marketing experience (consumer electronics/FMCG preferred).
    • Proven experience submitting listings to SA chain stores AND compiling/distributing trade newsletters with SOH and price lists.
    • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP essential).
    • Proficient in Canva, Google Suite; basic Photoshop an advantage.
    • Extreme attention to detail and strong admin ability.
    • Excellent written English and time management.
    • Drivers license and own transport.
