Job description
Job Purpose:The B-BBEE File Builder is responsible for collecting, organising, validating, and compiling all required documentation needed for B-BBEE verification engagements. The role ensures that verification files are complete, compliant with SANAS standards, and ready for assessment by Verification Analysts and Technical Signatories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Request, collect, and track all necessary documentation from clients in line with the B-BBEE Codes and sector code requirements.
- Organise documents into correct scorecard categories (Ownership, Management Control, Skills Development, Enterprise & Supplier Development, SED, etc.).
- Validate documents for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with engagement requirements.
- Prepare and structure verification files according to SANAS R47-03 guidelines and internal agency templates.
- Maintain detailed records of documentation received and outstanding items.
- Follow up with clients regarding missing or incomplete documents.
- Support Verification Consultants during the pre-verification stage by providing well-structured and indexed files.
- Ensure version control and secure handling of all client information.
- Assist in preparation of file summaries, source documents lists, and compliance checklists.
- Maintain a clean and organised electronic and physical filing system.
- Adhere to confidentiality, ethical requirements, and data protection standards.
Experience:
- Experience in the B-BBEE verification or consulting environment – highly advantageous.
- At least 1 year of experience in administrative roles involving documentation or compliance work.
- Basic understanding of the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice – essential.
