Student Administration and Support Team Leader

Key roles and responsibilities:- Take accountability for the compliant implementation of the academic administration requirements of all STADIO Application and Registration policies and SOPs on the campus, as instructed by the Campus Registrar
- Train and support the SAS programme administrators on the campus and understand the specific requirements of every School on the campus.
- Oversee and drive the daily student application (CRM) and registration (SIMS) processes on the campus i.e. online applications, on campus registration days, de-registrations, withdrawals, campus access, library cards, student material, etc.
- Be responsible for the efficient turnaround times on all student applications including special request applications.
- Ensure that all registered students are successfully enrolled on their Canvas courses.
- Responsible for the management and housekeeping of student documentation and the verification process.
- Analyse queries, complaints and support request data, relating to the application and registrations process on the campus, in liaison with HOC and CR, in order to improve the student experience on the campus.
- Report to the CR on daily application and registration numbers, backlogs, and resource requirements.
- Set clear and specific performance expectations, in collaboration with the CR, by providing formal and informal feedback sessions.
- Institute performance improvement plans where necessary.
- Hold regular planning, training & review meetings.
- Keep staff motivated and engaged.
- Is a member of the CR School committee and will be expected to participate and contribute to this forum (run by school CR’s).
- Is a member of the SAS Campus committee and will be expected to participate and contribute to this forum (run by campus CR & HOC).
Qualifications and experience | minimum requirements:- Grade 12 and a post-matric qualification (Diploma/Degree)
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a higher education institution
- Knowledge of:
o Admission criteria
o Student administration processes and systems
o Working knowledge of student systems (SIMS/CRM/CANVAS) &• Good understanding of legislation pertaining to personal information, consumer protection, information systems and technology.
