Job description
Key purpose of roleResponsible for translating national trade marketing strategies into regionally relevant brand and communication plans, and for leading their implementation within defined territories or business areas. This role takes ownership of regional adaptation, ensures alignment with business objectives, and manages key internal and external stakeholder relationships to support demand generation and brand positioning in the trade environment.
Key performance areas
Project management and implementation of PMB Business-to-Business Marketing and Communication campaigns, including:
• Engage Sales Management to extract actionable content for integrated trade campaigns.
• Lead briefing process with agencies/creative teams in consultation with trade marketing manager.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of campaign assets to ensure timeous implementation across platforms (Everlytics, Rocketseed, Medialoop).
• Interpret national direction into regionally relevant content for: Sales campaigns, brand roadshows, offers, rate card comms, mailers, category strategy, etc.
• Develop detailed briefs including strategy, copy guidance, objectives, timelines, and fulfilment logistics.
• Directly manage agency or internal resources to meet executional milestones.
• Review and refine campaign copy and submit for final sign-off.
• Mobilise internal resources (digital/social) to activate campaigns effectively.
• Analyse CRM trends to inform campaign targeting and messaging.
• Manage external suppliers to meet creative and logistical objectives.
• Own timelines, ensuring strategic alignment to 6-month planning cycles.
• Work in collaboration with research and insights to ensure data-backed messaging.
• Champion implementation of brand and comms plans that reflect national strategy and performance goals.
• Monitor effectiveness and ROI of campaigns; share insights to improve future initiatives.
• Enforce adherence to brand CI across all outputs.
• Maintain budget discipline and align spend with campaign impact.
• Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on campaign and brand activity.
• Keep trade calendar aligned and updated across all stakeholders.
• Present post-campaign reviews and share key learnings with business stakeholders.
• Drive ATL and BTL execution with quality assurance at every stage.
• Oversee implementation of brand plans through cross-functional engagement and timely approvals.
• Lead tracking and forecasting of campaign budget to ensure accountability.
Trade marketing:
• Contribute proactively to fiscal budgeting through insights and learnings.
• Manage concert ticket allocations and tracking systems.
• Lead execution of workshops, events, and trade initiatives.
• Oversee production and distribution of brand collateral.
• Serve as key point of contact for high-value client logistics and experiences.
• Maintain strategic relationships with key agency and trade partners.
• Coordinate national sales trade calendar and identify synergies across divisions.
• Deliver high-standard execution for VIP clients and stakeholder requests.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate deliverables in line with value and standards.
Team collaboration:
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver integrated activations.
• Represent Trade Marketing in strategic discussions and support broader departmental objectives, including after-hours events.
Minimum required qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree/national diploma in marketing or communications.
Qualifications considered advantageous:
• Advanced diploma is advantageous.
Minimum years of experience:
• Minimum 5-8 years exposure and experience in the media or advertising industry, preferably broadcast media.
Additional role requirements:
• Proven ability to adapt national strategies to regional execution.
• Strong experience in managing budgets, reporting, and drawing insights from data analysis.
• Experience leading end-to-end event or campaign execution, including 3rd party/vendor management.
• Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with marketing management tools (MST, CRM systems, dashboards).
• Strong influencing and presentation skills; ability to engage regional stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Adaptable, assertive, and results driven.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Regular regional travel required.
