Price Check is holding a charity blogathon, with a R20 000 prize. The competition started three weeks ago, with 14 people ranging from celebrities such as Ashley Hayden to fashion designers, radio DJs and popular magazine editors vying for the prize for their charity.

But now the field has been narrowed down to three finalists, and Nick is one of them. The other two are Lieschen Botes and Saskia Falken.

The 48-hour voting window starts this morning, Wednesday, 8 December 2010, and the winner will be announced on Friday morning, when the finalist with the most votes takes home the R20k cheque for their charity.

Comments Nick, "The Bookery is a fantastic charity started earlier this year and run by a bunch of superheroes who have already built three libraries in schools located in desperately needy communities, where many of the children have never been read to, let alone had a book of their own to take home for the night. And The Bookery hopes to build a truckload more libraries in the year to come, which is where this money would come in very handy."

Research shows that students results improve by more than 25% in schools where learners have ready access to well stocked libraries, and your click could help make that a reality.
