    ShowMax expands offering for expats

Costing $8.99 per month, this service has the added benefit of featuring many popular shows within 24 hours of them airing in South Africa.

Jeanne van Zyl, who heads up the expat service for ShowMax said, “Shows such as Our Perfect Wedding, The Wild, Isibaya, Binnelanders and Suidooster are as uniquely South African as bunny chow and biltong. Our plan is simple – put all the best South African shows in one spot and give expats a taste of home wherever they have ended up. In total, we’ve got around 14,000 TV show episodes and movies.”

It has apps for smart TVs, Apple TV (4th generation), smartphones, tablets and most web browsers. ShowMax is compatible with both AirPlay and Chromecast. An added feature is the ability to download up to 25 TV shows and movies to smartphones and tablets for watching while offline. This is perfect for long journeys or keeping entertained when there is no WiFi available.

To access ShowMax while in any of these countries, go to www.showmax.com and sign up for a risk-free seven-day trial.
