Elan Gamaker, a Cape Town-based writer/director, has been accepted into the Director's Coaching Programme of the Binger Filmlab (www.binger.nl) which, in conjunction with the Amsterdam School of Art, invites six international filmmakers annually to participate in its five-month intensive course. The residence takes places March - July 2009, and includes a trip to the Cannes Film Festival, where prominent industry members meet the Binger attendees and are introduced to the projects being developed in the programme. Gamaker will be developing his second feature film, entitled Swart Gevaar, during his tenure at the Binger.
