Paid Media Specialist

Remuneration:negotiable

Start date: 1 June 2025

Working hours: Monday to Thursdays: You have the flexibility to adjust your schedule by starting 30 minutes later and finishing 30 minutes later or starting earlier and finishing earlier. Fridays: The work hours are fixed from 08:00 to 16:00.
Are you are a highly motivated and detail oriented Paid Media Specialist? We are looking for someone who will be responsible for supporting paid media campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Search, Display, YouTube) as well as LinkedIn and other social channels. You will drive brand awareness, engagement, lead generation and qualified conversions. This position offers hands on experience managing digital advertising efforts in the Rainmaker Marketing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and execution of paid social and web campaigns on:
o Meta (Facebook & Instagram via Meta Ads Manager).
o Google (Search, Display, YouTube via Google Ads & DV360 basics).
o LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok, and other channels.
• Monitor, analyse and optimise campaigns across all channels to hit goals (reach, engagement, CPL, CPA, ROAS).
• Conduct audience and keyword research to identify targeting opportunities and optimise ad spend (Google Keyword Planner, audience insights).
• Create and manage ad copy, visuals, video assets, and A/B tests to continuously improve performance.
• Set up and maintain tracking infrastructure:
o Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, conversion and event tracking
o Meta pixel and app event tracking.
o UTM standards for cross channel attribution.
o Track and report on campaign metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, cost per lead/sale) weekly and monthly using Excel, Google Sheets, Dashthis or Data Studio.
• Collaborate with creative and content teams to ensure consistency across social and web ads.
• Assist in budget allocation across platforms to ensure efficient spend and timely invoicing.
• Onboard new paid ads clients: define objectives, configure accounts, align tracking requirements with stakeholders.
• Stay updated on the latest social, Google and AI ad tools, trends and best practices to implement cutting edge strategies.
• Perform ad hoc admin and project tasks to support seamless campaign execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years’ experience in paid social and web advertising (Meta and Google Ads).
• Strong knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
• Familiarity with key digital metrics: CPC, CPM, CTR, CPA, ROAS, Quality Score.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast paced environment.
• Basic SEO understanding and familiarity with other channels is a plus.
• Proficiency in excel or Google sheets for data analysis and reporting.

2+ Years’ Senior specialist / Manager add‑ons:
• Proven track record in both lead‑gen and e‑commerce paid strategies on Meta & Google.
• Comfortable managing LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok campaigns.
• Google ads & Meta blueprint certifications highly advantageous.
• Experience with Dashthis, Google Data Studio, Asana or similar project tools.
• Deep understanding of web attribution models, funnel optimisation, CRM structures and CRO basics.
