Freelance graphic designer (desktop publishing)

Job description

We require a freelance graphic designer with strong desktop publishing expertise to support fast-paced corporate communications. This role is suited to a detail-oriented professional who can deliver accurate, high-quality work under tight, hourly deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce communication materials, including newsletters, reports and campaign assets
  

• Execute precise layout and typesetting in line with brand guidelines
  

• Ensure consistency, accuracy and strong visual presentation across all outputs
  

• Proofread and refine copy to maintain high language standards
  

• Manage multiple tasks and deliver within strict turnaround times
  

• Prepare print-ready and digital files

Freelance, project- or hourly-based work depending on business needs. Rates negotiable.

Requirements

Requirements

• Based in Limpopo and available during standard office hours
  

• Willing and able to travel to Polokwane from time to time for training and alignment sessions (travel costs covered)
  

• Proven experience in graphic design and desktop publishing
  

• Advanced proficiency in the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  

• Strong written English and strong attention to detail
  

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  

• Portfolio demonstrating relevant work (corporate communications and layout-heavy projects preferred)
