This is the first time that the company has supported a large sporting event and it made new developments in online ticketing solutions and event management technology. The collaboration is the first step towards an international partner programme for the UK-based software house.
Over 8000 tickets were sold using the its platform for the sold-out inaugural event. The company provided the online ticket sales, onsite ticket scanning and crowd flow controls. The event was a success and the organisers now look forward to the next event which will take place in Cape Town.
New features such as team tickets have been developed for the venture into the sporting industry, allowing attendees to register with four or more participants. Organisers are able to capture unique data for all attendees, allowing for advanced audience engagement before, during and after the event.
