ComutaNet goes all out to promote Talknet's new business package

In a concerted effort to promote and educate the South African public about Talknet's new business package, the company enlisted ComutaNet's services to better penetrate the consumer market using a well-positioned strategic campaign.

The new Talknet product allows users to utilise pre-paid airtime at selected public payphones, so ComutaNet set up highly visible Talknet-branded gazebos at various taxi ranks and ran promotions so that commuters could not only view the product in action but get additional information about the service as well.

ComutaNet's national campaign also included 80 externally branded taxis, 500 internal taxi advertisements and audio commercials on over 22 500 Star Music cassettes, which were distributed to taxi drivers. The six-month campaign guarantees to expose millions of commuters, motorists and pedestrians to Talknet's message, educating the nation on the benefits of the new business package.

"To ensure that Talknet achieves its objective of creating awareness and educating the target audience about its new business package, combining the various elements of ComutaNet's services was imperative. An intensive advertising campaign backed by Talknet gazebos, internally and externally branded taxis as well as advertising on Star Music tapes, ensured that the desired communication was delivered to the right market," says Pieter Groenewald, Managing Director for ComutaNet."
