Strika Communications, a visual communications agency based in Woodstock, require a talented and driven designer to join our studio. Strika is looking for a versatile designer and skilled communicator who can translate complex ideas into compelling, accessible, visual communications. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded creative with strong graphic design expertise and proven experience in motion graphics.

The responsibilities associated with the position include (but are not limited to):

• Originating design elements for a diverse range of communication materials.
• Creating assets for 2D/Isometric motion graphics, including storyboards, templates, or animated sequences.
• Collaborating with writers, animators, and creative leads to develop cohesive visual assets for client projects, including motion graphics, infographics, and print media.

Our products range widely from magazines, posters, hazard maps and infographics to toolbox talks (safety-focused visual presentations). By using a visual-first communications strategy, we turn dry, factual or complex subjects into memorable media. These visually appealing, image-based communications ensure that clients can talk to diverse audiences with one simple communication tool regardless of language, culture or generational differences.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in graphic design and motion graphics.
• Strong command of design principles: typography, layout, composition, and hierarchy.
• Ability to interpret briefs and develop conceptually strong creative responses.
• Proficiency across print, digital and motion design formats.
• Fluency in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software (especially Illustrator, Photoshop & After Effects).
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good file organisation, version control and workflow efficiency.
• Excellent time and task management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to perform well under pressure.
• Advanced attention to detail and consistency across multi-format outputs.
• Experience with isometric illustration will be greatly advantageous.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime during project deadlines.
