At The Forum, we believe that extraordinary experiences begin with extraordinary spaces. Each of our venues is handpicked and purposefully transformed — not built from scratch, but refurbished from places with history, presence, and potential or a feeling.

A defining feature of every Forum venue is a connection to nature — through light, views, and gardens. From a rooftop garden in the city to a tranquil retreat adjacent to an indigenous forest, each space is designed to feel open, calm, and inspiring. We focus on generous ceiling heights, natural light, and carefully curated art, creating environments that are as thoughtful as the events they host.
SPACES THAT SHAPE EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCES
Each venue is unique — yet all are unmistakably Forum:
- The Forum | The Campus in Bryanston features a dramatic triple-volume space with abundant light and a spectacular wire sculpture by Walter Oltmann. The surrounding courtyards make it a peaceful escape in the heart of Sandton.
- The Forum | Turbine Hall, once Johannesburg’s second power station, is was a bold blend of industrial heritage and contemporary architecture — a modern glass structure set within a historic shell. We closed it reluctantly.
- The Forum | White Light is a beautifully converted farm cottage beside a dam, named for the extraordinary light that fills the space in the late afternoon. With high windows and surrounding gardens, it offers a serene, countryside atmosphere just outside the city.
- The Forum | Embassy Hill in Cape Town is a gracious home built in the 1940s by the Hamilton Russell family, later owned by the Dutch government. It features a light-filled double-volume space, lush gardens, and sits next to a 53-acre indigenous forest and river — a true urban sanctuary.
- The Forum | Hyde Park, our newest venue, occupies what was once an IMAX theatre, now transformed into an elevated events space with 9-metre ceilings and sweeping northern views. Despite its rooftop location, it is surrounded by a striking garden, bringing a sense of calm and beauty to the city.
Across every Forum venue, you will find refined design, layered texture, art, and light — all chosen to enhance focus, creativity, and connection. Our spaces are crafted not just to host events, but to shape experiences.
Because at The Forum, our purpose is simple: To enhance lives through shared experiences.
