Stores Manager

Our client, a leading company in the print and packaging industry, is seeking an experienced and reliable Stores Manager to oversee all areas of their busy store operations. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of maintaining smooth and efficient stock control in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the stores department and will report directly to management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all store operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished goods.
  

• Conduct regular stock counts, ensuring accurate inventory control and reporting to management.
  

• Perform daily stock checks and promptly address any discrepancies.
  

• Coordinate the receiving and dispatching of products and jobs in line with production and delivery schedules.
  

• Maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
  

• Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to safety procedures within the stores area.
  

• Liaise with management and production teams to ensure material availability for ongoing projects.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of matric / grade 12 qualification (a stores or logistics diploma will be an advantage).
  

• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar stores or warehouse management role, preferably in the print, packaging, or manufacturing environment.
  

• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
  

• Computer literate, with solid working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational ability.
  

• Reliable, disciplined, and proactive in managing day-to-day operations.
